I read on another post the term 'cur snapping.' What does that mean?

To cur is when a dog gives up. I suppose whoever said that meant to say that their dog is a cur (not game) and it was snapping at another dog?

I think it's when you got two dogs fighting/barking/snapping at eachother, but they're not full-blown fighting with one another. Could be wrong though.

Cur-snapping is threat displays to avoid a fight, its raising the hair, showing the teeth, and just snapping at one another without really wanting to fight.

Same thing as when two people talk fight but have their hands down at their sides and they are just flapping their gums like ole Fred Sanford. A pissing contest if you will. how can growl and show more teeth with out really doing any thing. Trying to punk each other out.
