In the showring...how much does the bite count?? My dogs front teeth overlap his bottom??? They are still baby teeth, but I believe this is something that will be permenant....will this count off too badly?

sounds like you got an overbite. How mutch do they overlap also show some good pictures of the teeth. The teeth is a big part of the show ring.

It Is Hard To Tell, But Is There An Actual Gap Between The Top And Bottom Teeth When The Dogs Mouth Is Closed? If There Isnt It Is A Perfectly Normal Bite. It Is Called A Scissor Bite And It Is One Of The Acceptable Bites Of The Apbt According To Adba Standard, They Also Accept A Reverse Scissor And An Even Bite.

Not much...thanks for the information. I'm not sure about whether I will keep him in conformation or go to weight pull because he does that lil' puppy weight jump a lot......so I'm not sure about it yet...

In ADBA, the judges are looking at the way the incisors meet, like GAPITS said, "a scissor bite". In points, the head and neck account for 15 points.

You can always do both conformation and weight pull, do you have a better picture of your dog so that we can see what his conformation looks like?

Teeth are important. Kept my female from a Best of Show. She had a broken canine from yard accident. She did get Best Female so I was still happy.

Last time I went to a show the same judge looked at my dogs teeth three times...I thought weird. but after the show was finished he told me that my APBT had an exeptional bite.
