Great because there are alots of things to be read. Alot of questions can be answered if you go past some old threads. Still need help? Be free to post or pm a mod or admin or something of that nature. A question left unanswered is just as bad as the wrong answer you know
(Sry back seat modding guys lol)

NOOO! DO NOT breed your dogs! There is no need for it! There is already a huge overpopulation of APBT and a vast majority of them are from BYBs. There are tooo many people(who do not need to be) breeding these dogs and have no idea what they are doing. And breeding for money is so wrong! You will not make what you think you well, if your dog has 12 puppies, imagine the vet bill just to have them all dewormed and vaccinated, not to mention the vet bill in the event of something going wrong. And just think what will happen to the pups if someone gets ahold of them and fights them, mistreats them or whatever else? I can almost guarantee that most of them will end up without homes. If you truly love your dogs and this breed, you will not breed your animals, you will spay and neuter, and leave the breedings to the professional kennels. Please, please, do not breed them.

dont underestimate me i am the type of person that i am a perfectionest once i do something i am the best at and as far as the vet bills thats no problem

There is no perfection in dog breeding- there is only responsibility & experience.

i understand what you all are saying i just want to have big dogs so when i breed them their pups are big whether i give them away or i sell them i like big dogs and thats the advice that i am looking at

*Sigh*
Breeding for size is not breeding for APBTs.
I'm going to take this to PMs before things get UGLY.

Do you have breeding quality dogs?
GSDbulldog
05-08-2006, 09:06 PM
Yes, backfire, are your dogs of breeding quality- and why? How are they bred? Who produced them?
backfire
05-08-2006, 09:06 PM
i have no idea if they are breeding quality i love my dogs whether they are big or small but if i had my choice i would want them to be a big dog for their breed

This is a joke right? Please read the forum and you will see the error in your thinking.

You will definitely get "in hot water" around here with that kind of talk. You'll also find that if you ask a question that has already been answered, you'll get a link to a previous thread and that's pretty much it. There's no sense in rehashing a subject that has been discussed several times.

Did you know their lines or did you stick two dogs of unknown backround together?

like i said it really doesnt matter to me if i make money sure it would be nice but i enjoy the fact its just like my friends dogs that i bred i didnt have to and he didnt even ask me if i would i volunteered because i enjoy it

If you love the breed & your dogs as much as you claim too, then you WON'T breed. Doing otherwise would should you don't give a rats ass about these dogs & you are yet just puppy peddler in it for the money.

There's enough sub-par dogs out there without you adding to the mix.

Does it matter to you that you are contributing to the death of plenty of other "big" pit bulls?

What are you producing? What purpose do the dogs serve?
GSDbulldog
05-08-2006, 09:14 PM
Yes it does. Why? Because to produce quality dogs one must know what they are doing! There are already MILLIONS of unwanted "good" dogs. BREEDERS STRIVE TO PRODUCE GREAT! THEY DON'T SETTLE AT GOOD!
