Ok if you have a Bitch and you breed Her under your kennel Name
Example AA Virus The offsping would have the AA kennel name..

Then move the bitch out to another Yard Kennel who re-names the Bitch
BB Virus
Would you have to change the Dam's pedigree from from AA to BB ?
Hope you understand what i am Saying ??

If I Am Not Mistaken You Cannot Welp Pups Off Of A Bitch And Then Change Her Name Or If You Can Then All You Can Do Is Give Her A Different Call Name. Do Not Hold Me To This But I Think That Is How It Works. You Have To Register A Kennels Name With The Registry You Are Registering With Also.

I also believe that you can not change a dog's name on the papers whether they are bred or not. You can change the call name but the name on the peg is etched in stone.

Cheers what has happend is i had a bitch with my kennel name that i bred i produced pups that i own with my Kennel name on these pups that are on peds online..
Well i moved the bitch to another yard..
I got a Call saying that the new owner has asked a friend to re-Name the
( Dam )bitch on peds online so if this happens then i will no longer show up as my Breeding on the Data Base Not sure if he can re-Name on the database but its real Bad if he Can..

I think he can do what he wants with the peds on line. If he renames the dog it wont show up in the data base as the real name and wont link to what it should. If you look the dogs siblings up it would come up as its own sibling with a diff name. YIS

after a dogs like 6 month you can't change the name.all you can do is change owners a million times and if the dogs under 6 months the owner has to give permission

If I remember correctly, you would have to sign the new registration papers that implies you are handing over the dog to the new owner. Then the new owner would have to reregister her. However, whatever registry she is through, you can contact them & make sure that there are no forged documents there that the new owner may have done.

However, what is the deal with the dog? Did you just farm the dog out, or did you actually give the dog to this person for them to keep & own? If you just farmed this dog out, good luck getting her back, but consider it a lesson learned on who you give dogs to. If you actually gave the dog to this person, then it is their right to rename her.

They cannot change her name on her registration papers or her offsprings names on thiers. The peds online service has nothing to do with acutal names or registrations.

I stand corrected. I contacted the ADBA & they said a call name can be changed only if the appropriate paperwork from the previous owner giviing ownership to the new owner is fille out. But the official registration name must remain the same for pedigree purposes.

And who cares about changing a dog's call name? I rarely have settled on the call name I put on the papers.
