Pit Bulls are just an easy target for the media to blame.

I was talking to an animal control officer the other day. She said that about ten years ago, she went out to investigate a dog attack. By the time she got there, there were a bunch of TV news reporters and vans from all over the city. As soon as they found out it wasn't a pit bull that had attacked, they packed up and left.

Figures. Same thing they do to Special Forces soldiers when some one gets hurt by one.

This is an issue I've been aware of for quite some time. That is the way the press has come to create news, not report it.
About the only national paper I like is the Wall Street Journal, they are pretty good. All the rest are full of crap. All it takes is one bad writer. For those of you who are Harry Potter fans think Rita Sketter. If you have a Pitbull your aware of it regarding the misrepresentation of our dogs. But they do it all the time on tons of issues. Oximoron: Journalistic ethics.
