I was wondering what you guys think about Ironsides bloodline? I'm buying a male puppy and can't decide between a dog with mostly Ironsides and Norrod blood.
Or a pup with great pulling parents, just the bloodline isn't that great. Let me know which pedigree you guys like better and why???? Thanks

I think you should defiantly go with the Ironsides/Norrod one. This line is very eager to please, strong, willing, and has produced game dogs. That should be about all you need for weight pull. Even though the parents of the other are weight pulling dogs anyone who has ever bred their dogs can tell you that one or two of the pups usually meet the parents standard let alone succeed it. The rest of the dogs in that pedigree don't have weight pull titles and what's behind the parents in a pedigree counts just as much as the parents themselves.
Just my thaughts. :)

Thanks for the advice. Nobody else has any opinion of the Ironsides bloodline?? I'm just not familiar with it and would like info before buying a pup. Anywhere I could find information on Ironsides??

Might help if you searched for Ironline, not Ironsides. ;) Knowing nothing in particular about the blood, and limited to those two choices, I would probably go with the Ironline dog. A scatterbred breeding is not going to throw as consistent a litter.

Well the guy I'm buying this dog from is breeding Ironline dogs but is know calling his Ironside's. I should have mentioned this at the start and it might have made this easier since Ironline is the famous line.
Anybody know where I can find info on the Ironline dogs? Who started it, etc?

I would go with the ironline dog , having said that I also like the second ped (as far as weightpulling goes) the tnt blood is known to produce working dog's with strong drive. tnt blood is bacily some of the better watchdog blood with a toutch of Art blood. The watchdog blood has provin to be a great pull line.Art dog's are proven period. The rest looks to be Crenchaw's Gator /jeep and redboy. provin lines known to make a provin cross.A little scatterbreed but what is not to like? Althow I belive both dogs would make great weightpullers, In my opinion The ironline dog would be of more value to youre yard.
