does anyone have any suggestions on a good collar for my pit . we have been threw about six in the last year . she keeps breaking loose from them . she is on a chain outside.

i need a heavy duty collar . she was on a thick leather collar this time and she broke it too from wal-mart

Try this out. Also, try a 2 collar set up using the bottom collar for the conncection. There is another thread on this.

I HIGHLY reccomend www.stillwaterkennels.com (http://www.stillwaterkennels.com) Great price, even greater quality. I don't reccomend leather collars (Especially from Wal Mart) for outdoor tieouts. Leather stretches & deteriorates faster than nylon. Get a 2 or 3 ply, 2 inch wide, heavy duty nylong collat.

www.blockydogs.com (http://www.blockydogs.com) They have great stuff to (Lots of decorative/collar options), but they are quite expensive. However, it's worth the price as they last a lifetime.

I have a couple stillwater collars, work the best! and a great price too!
