Dog parks

I don't know how everyone else feels, but I would never take my dog to a dog park, no matter how well I thought they were socialized. Even if your dog doesn't start a fight, they will probably be the one to finish it. Anyhow, this is a little article about pit bulls in dog parks.

You should know your dog! I would NEVER bring my Molly to a dog park!
I know she would never start a fight but she would finish it. But to ban Pit Bulls? So its fine for a little toy breed to bite my dog and snapp at me? And they would still be allowed to come to the park!

APBT have no biz in dog parks.

Yeah, you want to think they have has much rights as the next breed of dog or reg type pet. However in all honesty they shouldn't, anyone that owns an APBT or type dog does not have the right to unleash and expose their animal in a potentialy dangerous situation..... Common sense should tell ya that.

Mind you folks, your dog isn't thinking about going to the dogpark persay to socialize. These animals are brouhgt to these designated areas by thier owners and by thier owners will and to meet that "owners need" not thier animals.

This is your rights as a APBT owner that are being affected/challenged not the breed in it's self. Part of being a responsible APBT owner is knowing what type of situations are suitable for your animal and the public.....This breed is not for everyone.

i took my dogs do the dog park once when they where about 14 maybe 15 weeks but that was i think twice but after they got a little older i dont even think about going to the dog park and i havent been back scine but u have to watch those little dogs those are the meanest ones every one thinks it cute becasue they are so smalle but if a big dog actd like that it would be a huge deal but thats they way the worls works it sucks

No way would I ever take mine to a dog park, one..because there are none in my area, and two...its just not worth the risk. You never know what could happen, it may not be your dog that causes a scuffle or problem but you can bet it would probably catch the blame.
