Great question!! I dont know how it works but I think the person entering the info can make it anyway they want. I probably wrong. I DO KNOW that the peds online is innacurate at best on a lot of dogs. Not to be trusted. YIS

Usually the high lighted names in Red blue green etc. are to give recognition to that particular dog for certain accomplishments the owner feels he deserves. For example he could be a good producer or he could be a conformation champion or one of the main foundation stud dogs in that blood line etc......

Sometimes they change the colors for titled dogs in the ped. But recently I've noticed a lot of dogs made colored for no apparent reason.

You Can Make Them Any Color Or Font You Want, like If A Dogs Name Is Redfoot I'll Make The Word Red Red But When A Names Is All Red It Means There A Winner If Blue Is Rom/por Kinda Thing.but Really Look Into The Dog Because Peddler Are Pro's With The Gift To Gab

The color changes automatically to red when you enter a "before" title, such as 'PR' to a dog. as far as the green and blue, it might have something to do with "after titles", number of dogs produced in the database, or something else. but it defaults to red with the entry of a pre-title. just look at this ped:

http://www.apbt.online-pedigrees.com/public/printPedigree.php?dog_id=183503

you'll see that every dog with a pre-title such as 'PR' is red, the one dog with an after-title such as DNA-P (rom/por/etc) is blue, and the untitled dogs are black.

If you have access to peds online you can change the color and font size of the name and you can also put a link in the text box.
