Triple Crown Weight Pulling Series
The Triple Crown Weight Pulling Series is proud to be coming to the United Pulling Federation in 2006. The Triple Crown will be returning to Marysville, KS; Angola, IN; and New Richmond, WI this season.
The Triple Crown founders are excited to be adding a fourth event this season in Monmouth, IL. The 2nd Annual Heart of Prairie Weight Pull hosted by Mary Cunningham and Ben Scott, which will kick off the series with a wheels pull on carpet.

This season each competitor will be allowed to drop their worst event of the series. So if you are unable to attend one of the events, you will still have a chance to compete for the series title by doing well in the other three events.

The 2nd Annual Heart of Prairie Weight Pull will be held on February 25th and 26th, 2006. Mary Cunningham and Ben Scott will be hosting the opening round at the Eagles Club in Monmouth. The pull will be held indoors on carpet (wheels).

The remaining schedule will be the same as least year. Brian and Melinda Hosfelt will host the 2nd round of the Triple Crown in Marysville, KS. This year the Kansas Power Pull will be held on the Hosfelt’s dirt track on wheels. The pull will once again be held on Memorial Day weekend (May 27th and 28th, 2006). The Kansas Power Pull will also be sanctioned by the UPF as the Kansas State Championship. What that means is if you take first place over the two days in Kansas, your dog will automatically qualify for the UPF Championship.

The 3rd Round of the series will be held in Angola, IN. Ken and Trish Blackburn will be hosting the Angola 4-H Pull on July 15th and 16th (dates to be confirmed). The Angola 4-H pull will once again be held on rails. The Angola 4-H Pull will also serve as the State Championship pull of Indiana.

The 4th and final round of the Triple Crown Weight Pulling Series will be the Badger State Pull-Offs held in New Richmond, WI. The pull will be hosted by Daryl and Angie Anderson, and Mike and Kelly Swenson. The pull will once again be held on wheels on a natural surface (softball infield). The Badger State Pull-Off will serve as the State Championship pull for Wisconsin.



Triple Crown Weight Pulling Series point system:
Entry – 3 points
1 st Place – 10 points
2 nd Place – 6 points
3 rd Place – 3 points
4 th Place – 1 point
Double-Up Bonus – 5 Points (win both days)
Bonus Point – 1 Point for each dog beat. Trophies will be awarded to the top 3 finishers in each weight class. Each dog’s score will be the sum of the dog’s best three events.
