Has anyone used the plastic shade strips in their kennel fence? Im thinking its gonna get pulled out and destroyed. Any tips you could provide for a way to make the fence not see thru would help. I have a bitch who goes CRAZY all day pacing back and forth to get at the other dogs cause her pups r with her. This bitch really fights the fence trying to chew thru the metal to get at dogs almost 100 ft away. And I CANT get her to SHUT UP with that high pitch kill you bark. GOING NUCKING FUTS YIS

A hype bark.......Cant really describe it unless u heard it. Almost every female dog ive had does it when they want to get something. I thought of plywood, it didnt seem practical cause id have to put up at least 5 8x4 pieces then paint them(make em look nice) YIS

I build fences those plastic things are slats there is a peice that runs through the bottom of the wire to lock the slats in.They are pretty hard to pull through the diamonds ,fence with slats are also hard to climb.

use some bails of straw, stack em up so she cant see in the direction of the dog(s) she is barking at.

i wouldnt use the slats, if shes anything like my dogs they will be torn apart and eaten w/in the hour. thats asking for a gut block.
i would take some large plywood pieces, and attach them on the OUTSIDE of her kennel (or if you securely fasten them on the inside if shes going into the fence - id rather have my dogs teeth in plywood than metal!) make sure it is long enough, and tall enough so she cant see over or around it.
if you look in my gallery, "the carver/jeep/redboy 2" picture - that gyp was tearing apart the fencing because of the dog she could see on the otherside. i put up the plywood and she has left it alone.
Your bitch still may be a noisy one regardless, how old are the pups??

Plastic is out. I like the tin idea, it will provide shade and will last. I cant see her hurting herself on it either if its inside. The pups are 16 weeks or so. Thanks for the suggestions I never considered the metal(I lined my barn kennel with metal and it worked like a charm) YIS

If you use the tin then you may want to paint it to cut down on the glare that the sunlight will give when it reflects off of it.
