Good luck trying to find a big head dog with any of the bloodlines you say you are interested in. I'm not for or against any specific bloodline, I just love this breed, but here is a few that I am very familiar with.

Here you go http://www.blockheadpits.com/

The sire of my new pup comes from here
http://www.dogoodkennel.com/males.html

I'll probably get 2 pups from these guys later http://www.majorleaguepitbulls.com/males.html

If you love this breed why are you supporting these peddlers? Go help an animal at a shelter or somethin, it's better than paying for 2 ugly mutts.

Well, that depends bimbil. Do you want a true bulldog, with the bloodlines you listed earlier and a normal sized head. Or do you want an english bulldog mix-a-mut being peddled off as a "rare pitbull" with a head the size of a 5 gallon bucket like the ones above.

Go help an animal at a shelter or somethin, it's better than paying for 2 ugly mutts.Technically speaking I haven't supported these people you call "peddlers", unless visiting their website counts. I am not just interested in the animals you consider to be "game dogs", but yet all you have to go off of is history of a bloodline when in fact you don't know how truly game your dog is, and don't try to compare yours to mine because of bloodline either because like I have said and life has proved, not all traits are inherited. This site is here for educational purposes and I am here like most to learn about the many different types of bully breeds which all of them I love regardless of who or where they come from.

It seems to me that many discrminate just like the people who discriminate against them........what a damn shame!

Thanks guys, you've answered my question. I'm not too familiar with the breed, but from reading your posts it sounds as though the pits that are 80lbs above have the big head. Those are also the ones that are the mutts, since they've been breed to some other bulldogs to get that weight.

At least know I know, if I want one of the 'game' bloodlines their heads are even with their 40-55lb bodies.

those 85-100 pound dogs are not apbt dont even call them apbt and doggystyle beleive me most of the people on this site know how " game " their dogs are why dont you just go get one of those fat ass hogs and call it a day if thats what you want but dont you dare call it a apbt and people dont discriminate on those dogs we just know damn well that they are not apbt besides people who get those big dogs dont really care about dogs in the first place they just buy those to look " tough " i know plenty of people who have those hogs and cant answer the most simple questions about apbt's * me* " what bloodline is that dog from" * other person* " red nose pit " so my question to you is why would you want a dog that big? for the head size or body size or what cause it sure isnt the love of apbt's

Some game bred dogs have big heads, some don't. Look at some dogs down from the lines you're interested in, you'll find a big headed dog. Difference is, those dogs are not BRED to have big heads. Another difference, is these dogs are WORKING animals and do require experienced handler's, they damn sure ain't for beginners. So if you really want an APBT, watch and learn about the breed...take your time.

Big head doesn't neccessarily = good dog. Really most of those dogs are not even APBT's.

I agree with you 100% that most people with these huge dogs only have them for looks and they don't know much about them, which is very sad for the breed in general. I know a thing or two and I share my knowledge with those people that don't know instead of talking down on them. I'm not afraid to approach those "people" and help better their understanding. Keep stereotyping me like the media does all of us and this breed may not have a chance because "people like you would rather sit back talk shit about other "people" and their dogs instead of questioning and answering topics for them.

BTW........Somebody has to be willing to educate the uneducated. You can't tell me shit because I'm here learning already.

The only thing that I was taught on this site is to go with my gut feeling when it comes to this breed like I do with everything else, so basically I just continue to be who I have always been and do what I feel is right in my heart and nothing or no-one will stop me from following my heart. I educate myself and I am interested in others comments or responses to certain situations to see who has dealt with what I have or to let others know what I have been through. I do not deny that I will always be uneducated about something, but if I want to know something then I experience it in first person. Reading aint never taught me nothing but how to waste time. That's what wrong with our generation now. Everyone is either too lazy or too afraid to get up, get out and do something.

Knowlege is proud that he has learned so much
Wisdom is humble that he knows no more.

No one is 100% wise here yet, but the ones who know alot are proud that they have learned what they know and are still willing to learn more. Keep studying.
Good luck.;)

That's gotta be one of the funniest damn things I've ever seen posted. "Reading aint never taught me nothing" LOL, that's a classic for sure.

So basically what you'r sayin Doggystyle is that whats wrong with young people today is that their too educated...? From reading...? Wuhh?

Well...that statement from doggystyle can be taken different ways....

'Reading aint never taught me nothing' is BLATANTLY incorrect from a grammatical standpoint...so Doggy either said this as a smart ass comment, purposely poking fun at herself for 'not reading much'....or she is a true product of her own theory and unwillingness to educate herself...and doesn't know any better :) either way....doggystyle - I think I see the intent of what you were trying to say

If more people would start by reading some of the books that the founding fathers of the breed in this country had input in, before they attempted to accumulate some first hand experience, they might have a better understanding and appreciation for the breed in it's true form.

Good post. I'll add, that reading is a great way to learn from the mistakes of others rather than having to make mistakes first hand to learn from them.

i heard through scientific journals on athletic canines that grabbing the tail and pumping it at exactly 48 degrees 10 times every day like a well pump actually increases the skull cell division in pups between 12 months and 32 months. with this method, you can increase skull depth by 3/8ths an inch every 3 months.
(disclaimer: this theory derived from the one that precluded that humans developed smarter and bigger brains if they spent most of their time upside down.)

"Bruce Lee didn't read about how to kick ass, he practiced and gained experience."

-DoggystyleOK I think I understand what doggystyle was trying to say he may have worded it wrong so alot of people might interpret it the wrong way of course I could of interpret it wrong to but heres what I feel he was trying to say. Although reading every single info on any subject can help you only to a certain degree and unless you actually try or experience it first hand it wont do you really any good and you wont be able to completely accomplish that certain goal for example like he stated above with Bruce Lee I too am a Martial Arts enthusiast and have been training in many fighting arts since I was 5 years old. Nowdays info on the net is very easy to access and very commen where you can talk and learn about martial arts but Ive met people that can talk alot of martial arts like they are Masters or philosiphers but when it came down to actually doing it they couldnt back it up they where full of crap basically they can talk the good talk but cant walk the real walk because they have never experienced it first hand for themselves. You can talk like you know Martial arts or you know how to surf or you know how to dance or you know how to breed proven bulldogs etc. but untill you actually accomplishe those things through actual experiences for yourself you just basically pissing in the wind and are full of crap. lol Like my mentor once said the best teachings wont be found in any book but through actual EXPERIENCES.

Doggystyle thats my favorite postition lol lol Also I got a pit with a huge big head I didnt breed for that he just came out that way if anyone wants to buy him he will cost 10 grand and thats not because he has a big head lol lol lol...
