I am considering making a spring pole for my dog. Do any of you experts have a link to plans for one? I don't want one too high as my rescue dog had a Femoral Head Otectomy(her femur was shaved off) due to an encounter with a car(she lost and had a dislocated hip which was left untreated for a couple of months til I got her). She just likes tug-o-war and I'd like to exercise her more. Not leaping too high into the air though...

Also a friend of mine has a Australian Cattle dog/pit bull cross puppy (also a rescue)and he would love to see plans for a treadmill that he could build himself as his puppy could use LOTs of exercise. If someone posted this question here before, can you tell me or give me a link to find it?
I am going to do a search on treadmill and spring pole on this community, but it's plans I need....not opinions on their use. Also a jinny mill? Hope I spelled it right...
Thanks in advance.

LOL nobody needs to be an "expert" to know something about a springpole ;) In fact, I found a ready-to-use springpole in a large name-brand store this past week. There are PLENTY of links to past discussions here telling how to build them, what to use to build them, and possibly even pictures of them. Just run a search on this site for "springpole" ;)

As for a treadmill, for the time and $$ you will put in to materials to build a substandard treadmill for, you would be better off to just buy one or modify an e-mill.

A jenny, takes ALOT of room and makes people raise their brows. I plan on building one, but only when I can find some land out in the country where I wont need to explain a bulldog running on a jenny to the Humane Society every day.

I find it intresting that all these things you would like to use responsibly for shelter dogs and even mix breed shelter dogs that according to groups like the HSUS you are a "Guilty untill proven innocent dog-fighter". After all, what law abiding citizen would want to work their dog to keep them healthy and happy besides dog-fighters? Better hope for your sake you dont have any pedigrees in your house, and they dont see you are a member on "game-dog.com" all this is just piles and piles of evidence to "prove" you are a dog-fighter. Right?

Sorry for the vent, I'm just getting sick and fucking tired of the black-balling going on to our breed. Everyday excersise equipment, supplements, and pedigrees that are common in any working breed are evidence against all of us legal bulldog owners to kill our dogs, without a fair trial, if we get a trial at all!
