New name for pitbull puppies!!!

I know this sounds stupid but I call pitbull puppies pittenbulls or pittenbull puppy.I just think it's cute and takes the "Vicious dog"out of peoples minds when you say it.What do ya all think?

Heh, good try, but people have been trying come up with a less "vicious" name for a while. I remember Yankee Terriers. I just call them what they are. . . Bulldogs. When you say pittenbull, I'm pretty sure people still know what your talking about. A dog by any other name is still a dog. In the publics eye, if it's a pit bull, it's vicious.

I deffinately see what you want to portray..Like gsd said. a dog by any other name is still a dog. the sooner we get rid of the ignorant owners, the sooner the APBT will get back its rep as an honorable family pet. This will probably not happen as the world only evolves, and chooses to get worse.

I posted a long time ago that i wanted to change the name of the breed to "American Baby Lovers" or "American Pussy Boy Terrier"...with that one, you could keep the APBT!!!! Im sure wanna be gangsters and thugs wouldn't be proud to say, "i have a 100 lbs 'baby lover" haha...it'd never work :)

I call my two dogs Attention Hounds because that's what they are.

Some punk told us we were ruining the rep of the breed when we were walking our two pitbulls and our friends pit puppy together, all in new fleece coats that I made for them.

My husband told the punk to get going before he dragged him out of the car and educated him by force.

I know a lot of people here say their pitties are lab/boxer crosses and such, but I am proud to own a pit bull and would not call her by anything else. And that way, people can see she is freidnly, not eating their kids, not trying to eat other dogs etc etc... I think it is important for people to know she is a pit bull, since so many people have no clue and think they're monsters. People are usually very interested and ask all sorts of questions like why she is wearing a muzzle and such. So we go out all the time and educate people. She has changed a lot of peoples minds about pit bulls. And the best is when a little dog comes along and tries to attack her, pulling and barking at the end of its leash and she just stands there and does nothing, that shows people something. I laugh and say 'now look, she's real vicious isn't she?'.

Everyone thinks Kittens are soft and precious so I thought Pittenbull would just be cute.It makes people laugh rather than think too hard about it.I have people come over all the time.One time my older female saw this lady,her husband and 3-4 yr. old son walking,she pulled me as hard as she could just to be an attention freak.The lady looked at me as if she were terrified.I said "she don't bite" then her husband petted her and the lady smiled.I don't muzzle my dogs in public because I don't feel it's necessary.My dogs are friendly

By law all pit bulls have to wear a muzzle here when out in public, its unfortunate but I have to. Shes really good about it though.

The name that our breed was givin is all the Breed has now. Remember that when you take someones name away from them, you take thier soul and purpose. Nicknames are cute and cuddly and never let anyone tell you that you can not give your APBT a nickname i.e. Pittenbull, American pussy-boy terrier, or what not..As long as it is known that you are portaying the APBT as it really is, than there will never be any doubt in mind that that is what they are. Loyal, Strong, and war time ready. And not to mention soooooooooooo damn cute and friendly. American Pit-Bull Love and Companion Terrier should be the true name of this breed.

As for me, my dogs will always be called by their breeds name. THE AMERICAN PIT-BULL TERRIOR.

Good on you all for giving such cute and cuddly names to your APBT. It's what makes us LOVING OWNERS;)

Hmm...you all have such nice nicknames. I dont think I've ever owned a dog that wouldnt respond to: " sh*thead, pussy, a**hole,bastard,jerk,jackass or m-fer" :D Its all in good fun of course, I just call it like I see it LOL.
