It would be best to keep them in crates when your not home.Even if they get along well.I`ve seen Male and femail pits play tuga war wtth couches and other furnature just having fun.

Yes, the responsible thing to do would be to seperate them. No one is guranteeing an accident will happen...but the probability that one will happen is much greater than those two dogs living together for life without a fight. And yes, even though they are Male and Female they will still fight. Its a good habit to crate the dogs while your gone anyways. El_mexicano said it "Never trust a pitbull not to fight".

Just out of curiosity, how old are your dogs? I have males and females and my females attitudes changed completely when they first came in heat. They don't call em bitches for nothing. The least little thing will set them off. A toy, a treat, jealousy. Not getting their way. The first time our female jumped our male she was trying to jump up on our 5ft high dog house from a stand still. The one male kept grabbing her leg and pulling her back down. The third time this happened, she got pissed off and jumped the other male that was just standing there. He ran, but not fast enough. This was one of my very first lessons in "NEVER TRUST YOUR DOG NOT TO FIGHT". the simplest thing can turn deadly.
Our dogs are never turned out together now. Lucky for me, both me and my husband were in the yard with them so there was no real injuries. The people on this site know what they are talking about. Heed their advice. Don't think it won't happen to you. As your dogs get older and more mature, they will try each other even more if you give them the chance.
Not trying to sound negative, it is a fact of this breed.

OK, First off I must ask whats with the pic? this is a Game dog site not a game playing site lol. j/k
Yu should crate train any dog just in case , you can train and older dog it just takes time.... keep on trying and he'll listen .
By the way Love the glasses..............

Sounds like to me, they need some training. Walk them together & get out that frustration. They'll get use to one another, after awhile. Mine did.
