APBTs are not usually lonely for other dogs... that's not a good reason to get another dog.

***Edited Marty *** The best "buddy" for your pit bull is you! Pit bulls were bred by man for man. If they get "lonely" it's b/c they crave human companionship. These dogs aren't Labs. Getting another dog as a "buddy" for your pit bull will most likely end up in a fight that could result in either one or both of your dogs being maimed or killed. If both live they will probably have to remain separated for the rest of their lives. Then you will have two "lonely" pit bulls instead of one & your problem will have been doubled instead of resolved.

All in all getting another dog as a "buddy" for a pit bull is an awful idea. But if you absolutely must insist on getting your male a canine companion, why not check out your local rescue? $300 - $400 is very reasonable for an ADBA registered pup. But it's obvious you aren't wanting to come up off any amount of money. There are tons of great dogs in rescue desperately needing homes. They come in all colors - to include blue & merle, all physiques - to include both traditional & bully & all ages - from adults to puppies. Plus, the adoption fee is going to be more in the price range you're looking for.

However, if by "lonely" you meant you are looking for a sexual companion for your dog, it's best you move on b/c you won't find what you want here.

I've alway's wanted to find a female, to begin breeding to my male, but havent had much luck finding anyone around here ever selling pup's ???? and i have yet to find out how i would even post i'm looking.

wow, please tell me you don't think that makes sense. By private selling, do you mean some crappy BYB. And you would rather get a dog to breed from one of them rather than a kennel, which at least has a shred of credibility. What are you breeding for, exactly? Do you just want some random guy who sells pitbulls to anyone with the money? man, you do some great research before you buy a dog, I'm really impressed.

Sorry, I just think you should think about what your saying, you don't sound to qualified to be talking about breeding pitbulls

why do you feel that you must breed your dog?? and what do you mean, begin breeding? does that mean that you are going to have a litter every year?

if you must find another dog, PLEASE go to your local shelter. there are thousands upon thousands of good dogs being killed every day... why?? because people breed unworthy animals for $$, because they "love" there pet, because they are "cute", etc. these are the WRONG reasons to breed.

Plus, there are SOO many better dogs out there than you could ever produce (im not being a bitch, im being honest - this is the reason why i dont breed my dogs), so why make 30+ bad dogs to find your "one" that you want??

just the average smuck The average schmuck is why this breed is in danger of becoming extinct in the first place. There will be NO selling of pups on this forum! There will be no asking of people in a public thread to sell you a puppy! These are the rules, they will not change. Everyone WILL abide by them. If somene doesn't like it, then go peddle pups & partake in irresponsible breeding elsewhere in a different forum.
