So after seeing another member intro themself, I realized I'm 50 posts in on this board and never introduced myself. Oops. :D
My name is Lindsay. I'm a St. Louis MO native, moved to Tulsa OK in August. (Still have family in St. Louis, so I go back and forth between the two constantly.) I've been around Pit Bulls since I was about 8 years old, as well as various other breeds. (Usually "macho" dog types: Rotties, Akitas, GSDs. My step-father liked a cool-looking dog to enhance his manliness.) Done some things I'm not proud of -- such as having manbiters and moonlighting as a BYB -- but I've learned from my experiences and try to use them as examples to help educate others.
I've got one dog right now. A 2-year-old rednose girl (predominantly Lar-San and whatever's behind that) from Matrix Kennels. I work her in weight pull, and she's being trained up for obedience and agility. I'll probably also show her in some fun classes, too, while I get a feel for conformation shows. I've only played around in UKC at this point, and hope to later compete in both UKC and ADBA. I recently became a member of the Green Country APBT Club, and am as active as I can be in fighting BSL. (Most especially the ban we're wrangling with here, but I'm constantly writing emails to reps in other cities and states where BSL pops up.)
So that's about it. Some of you I already know from other boards. (I'm on 8 now. Boards are like crack for me.) For folks in the OK/TX area, I'll probably see some of you out at the shows. :)
