What does everyone think about Mainline Kennel's "Weird Jack"? I am thinking about purchasing a pup off of him bred back to his daughter. I just wanted a little input of info on him. I heard he was a good one.

I would be very careful about buying any dogs from a puppy mill. Yes I am calling mainline kennels a puppy mill because he breeds tons of litter per year for profit. Mainline takes proven stock and overbreeds it, which is not good at all! I would use them as a last resort because If you give them business, you condone or suport their business.

i have a dog off mainlines yard that i am pleased with and i have seen off spring off weird jack i wouldn't mind feeding and some i wouldn't feed at all. as with any pup you take a chance when buying but jack has thrown some good ones for what it is worth. wish you the best in your search for a pup.

Mainline is NOT the breeder of Weird Jack. He baught the dog after he acheived his "status". I have 3 dogs off Weird Jack. One is a great animal, the other 2 I am waiting on. I know someone that has a dog off werid jack to a daughter of barracuda that is a BULLDOG...Now as far as the quailty of bitches that weird jack is bred to at mainline I cant say. CH lil girl(skull X scream) was also baught after she acheived her "status", she was bred to weird jack and produced nicely so i have been told by people who have dogs off that litter, i also have one off that litter.

I definitely appreciate the responses and more will be even more appreciated. Can someone point me in the right direction as to where I should start with some good "Game" jeep/redboy dogs. I'm trying to start a kennel with a variety of crosses and bloods. I'm asking for as much input and info as I can possibly get.
-Thanks

start with learning the blood...then find someone who doesnt make breedings for pedigrees...and a good start would be someone without a "web page". someone that didnt "buy up" proven dogs recently. find some one whos been breeding them and stuck thier family of dogs, and then you will learn why they have stuck with them. then you will learn what crosses works with thier family. and if you've invested your time wisely you will no longer have to "buy" dogs. and space and feed bill will be new issue. and ol lady bitching cause all you do is think and talk about is dogs......ect...lol

Great advice DEACONROM....the best thing to do is shovel shit for those with the blood you want and pick their brain every chance you get. That way along with the dogs, you've got a friendship, and knowledge. Of course, not everyone is so inviting to strangers.
