Lionhead was a good one but he never produced anything. Athans crossed him into his Nigerino dogs.
As far as top blood lines well the Patrick/RBJ (Buck/Yellow, Mayday) cross is doing really well. Just seems like this is the stuff that everyone has along with the Jeep/Red Boy stuff. Seems like a lot of dogs out there are or have these lines mixed with other lines.
I personally like Eli, Carver, Patrick and the Boyles dogs. Boyles dogs are great because they are a combination of Eli, Patrick, Carver and Hank blood. You can cross a Boyles dog back into anyone of those lines.

I like the Bolio/Tombstone/Eli cross. Your right everyone seems to have RBJ or Jeep/Redboy. Must say something.

Jeep/RB/Rascal= Ch Gator blood. High, high percentages. I also love the Boyles blood. Rough, tough & all the good stuff!

I doubt you have "Jeep/Colby" crosses unless you have the pedigree. If this is what your "breeder" told you, he probably lied to get some cash in his hands. "Gottiline" is nowhere near being a top bloodline.
greyline and gotti for the most part should be considered ****something other than amstaffs or apbt****as they are image bred *****and in many cases do not fit conformation*****. any bloodline that is sold and the add starts with a physical description that mentions head side stockyness shortness or color as a selling point is aiming for your pocket.

greyline and gotti for the most part should be considered staffs or show lines. People need to get it straight! Those dogs are not SHOW LINES!! If they were show lines they'd be AmStaffs, but they're not! For the most part, those dogs are bred to their owners' standards, not show (and obviously not working) standards. AmStaff doggers would tear you apart for naming those dogs AmStaffs as I will if you call them APBT's! Sorry, just had to point this out. If anyone disagrees PM me, don't whore the thread.
your probly right ill rephrase they are designer dogs not pit or ring dogs they are fashion statements i was trying to be nice but i stepped on the other folks toes lol sorry.

hahaha I was talking to my dog's breeder a few days ago and we got on the discussion of those dogs. He said no self respecting Am Staff breeder would claim those dogs.

I beg to differ on that Scotsman, when Lionhead (POR) was bred back to alligator, eli and carver dogs he threw winning offspring and champions,as we have come to find out from working with the alligator line through several years.

i have heard of alot of good things come from lionheads bred to alligator, and from what dogs i have seen bred this way, they looked like they would be one hell of a game dog
I prefer Bolio dogs bread back into the Patrick line. They tend to perform well and have stable traits and temperments. Constant producers, no suprises.............

I really like the Bolio and Tombstone stuff. Buck is great to use or Ratliff's Butkus stuff. It also crosses great with Maverick or even Tab.

I personally like the Carver/Eli bloodlines. The ones mentioned above are also booming now. Course in my part of the country Carver/Eli seems to be predominant.

I stem in the RBJ, Mayday, Colby. I would deffinately have to say that Carver/Eli is working well. I really dont know what the best is though. There is only one way to figure that out and I dont have the money to bring them all to Japan to test the fact.

YEP I would have to say ELI or Eli crosses. Alot of people today are realizing that when adding some Eli into the mix they get a better performance dog. Mayday/Eli or Boyles which is Bolio/Eli or Jeep/Eli or Redboy/Jocko/Eli through Rascal etc...

Good post! :) Those dogs are DEF not Am Staffs. I own 1 am staff and there is a lot more than just looks to them. When am staff breeders do breed, they are very careful about doing the correct health testing, eyes, cardiac, hips, etc. When you go on an Am Staff forum, that's all they're talking about most of the time, is health tests and etc. They not bred for game, but they do work. In fact, the best hog dog i've seen is an Am Staff, and AKC and UKC champion at that....lol....But i agree about the APBT's that are being bred for size and owner standards...they should not be called apbt's or am staffs...but mastiffs mutts..period!
