You can check into a few clubs. If you just want to watch, check out the CKC site for lists of events.Grip listed ADBA's site. You can also check out UKC's list of events.
ADBA: www.ADBA.cc (http://www.ADBA.cc)
UKC: www.UKCDOGS.com (http://www.UKCDOGS.com)
CKC: www.CKCUSA.com (http://www.CKCUSA.com)

Chevy Red Dog pulled 5,000lbs.One of my sister show kennels has a male who I've seen personally pull 4,200lbs,weighing 84 pounds.BooBoo was doing 3,000 before his leg injury, weighing 51 pounds.

But if you plan on starting in weight pulling, make sure you find a good workout schedule to use.And don't start your dog with too much weight.no matter if you think he can handle more, work him up to it slowly.

You can go to the www.doggpower.com (http://www.doggpower.com) and they'll have a ton of listings for IWPA, UPF and some other clubs. You can also go to the APA site at www.weightpull.com (http://www.weightpull.com) for their schedule. The APA and IWPA of course along with the ADBA are going to be you best bet for the area you live in, and Chevy has pulled just over 11,000 lbs. on rails at an ADBA show. The 5,000 pounds (actually just shy of) were on wheels at IWPA events.

thanks again for info. what is the difference between small, large wheeled carts, and rail carts? which is more challengeing? for Ex. if a dog pulls 1200lbs. on this cart is like pulling so much on this cart.

Wheeled carts are just that, lol.Rail carts are setup like a train setup,a rail system. The rail systems are setup to incline.I've seen the incline be as much as 10 inches, but I believe it can be higher.A wheeled cart is run on a flat, level surface.

It all depends on the track and the cart for how much it will pull. Don't get too caught up on weights pulled they don't really mean a lot. Gauge how you're doning by how the competition is doing. I've seen the same dog pull over 4,000 pounds on a cart and than on another cart less than a month later only 2,000. It all depends on how hard the track and cart pull. To answer your question more directly on the average rail systems will pull more than wheel tracks but that's once again depended on the individual track set up. There is no real way to say if you pull "X" amount of weight on wheels you will pull "X" amount of weight on rails.
