I have the opprotunity to do one of these breedings. Here there are:

or ...

We had not planned on breeding Smokey again, but may do either breeding as a personal favor to a friend. Since this will probably be the last time we will be breeding Smokey I'd like to do the best breeding I can. She is a good producer, but is getting a little long in the tooth.

That being said, which breeding do you like better & why? I like them both & am having a hard time choosing. What do you think? Any & all constructive input is appreciated!

As a side note, this is not a "for sale" ad. Both of these breedings are still prospective & neither has taken place.

I like #2 if both dogs are proven. Nice tight family breeding, increasing your chance of dogs like their ancestors, and bred like that pups should produce too. IMO

Thanks 14 Rock. Both dogs are proven, but Lance has gone through harder work than Turk. That's where my ??? came in at. The Turk breeding will produce more consistently. On the other hand Lance has been looked at harder, but the breeding will be kinda scatterbred.

I think I would go for #1 breeding.

Well, I'd have Turk take his final test and see if he graduates before making a decision. No sense in sacraficing when you can find out before hand and have (at least a bit) of certainty.

Those are both nice breedings. I definatly like the second one! What are the parents proven in. What do you mean when you say that?
