When I threw this out there....I thought several of you would jump at this one but they haven't so I will start the argument rolling.

The Greatest Dog of all Time is: TANT'S YELLOW BUCK

My reasoning is this....this is the highest scoring ROM dog that is also a GR CH.

GITCHA SOME OF THAT!http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_9_134.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001)

Not taking any thing away from Jeep but no finish. My vote would have to go to Boomerang Badass MF a CH in the [], in the show ring and a producer from hell .

naw the best dog to ever look through a collar was stp's gr ch buck 7xw ROM. he made gr ch by 4 yrs olf and went out and beat sandman in 3:17 and made not only rom but a solid line of champion and grandchampion rom offspring making his own solid bloodline.

Well for what I like ( accomplishments ) take a look at ZEBOS rec. In my mind that was a BAD A@# SON OF A BI&*H ( pardon my french ). I know i might catch a lot of hell for mentionin him cause of tha hype but thats whats good about this board. Everyones OWN opnion.:)

J M A N

ZEBO was a great dog but only had 5 ROM points. TANT'S YELLOW BUCK was a 7xw and has 14 ROM points.

who is yellow buck off of? i am sure it has to be one of tants dogs and something down from buck with that name. yellow blood and buck blood is definetly a proven cross hands down that is being replicated by alot of kennels. i think jeep and rbj blood has to be the most wide spread bloodlines that there is. i personally dont know a person with out one or the other on their yards.

The greatest...a title like this and nobody has mentioned Double GR CH Tornado?? Seen her on tape and she can make a good hog look like crap lol.
Now of course her production wasn't what people hoped it would be, but as far as her performance, she will definately go down as...one of the greatest...

This is a hard topic....To pic only 1 dog....I would have to say CH.CHINAMAN (ROM) was one of he best, a straight KILLER..I wont say the best...I wouldn't put that title on any dog there's been to many dogs past and present that have and do fit that title......YIS

BBK, Tornado was extrodinary when it comes to working ability! Have to agree on that one. Bad Rosemary was an alligator from hell and put some good ones on the ground...

There has been so many good dogs, hard to choose! Have always respected Art for the accomplishments he did and how he produced in a short span of time. It's too bad we couldn't see more from him as I'm sure he would have made a bigger impact. Although Redboy is not a Gr.Ch. he has made a enormous influence on the gamedogs today.

Hell..I don't know! I'd take them all.

Stinson & Glover's GR.CH.ART one badass SOB and made (ROM) in like what 2 breedings before he was stolen..Just think what he could have produced!BS!
He was bred more then a whore on main street in L.A.!

Many believe this is why was he stolen because part of the deal was he was not suppose to be placed at public stud.
"Art the dog with the Heart" had adds in Bloodline Journal and SDJ before he was stolen. I personally know of more then two breeding he did in fact I know over a dozen litters he sired.
Art was at public stud for 8 months when he was stolen and for the record.......... the dog bred the fewest times and made R.O.M. status and BTW if it isn't recognized by SDJ which is the ONLY place who awarded ROM then it isn't ROM, The stud bred the fewest to make status,,,,,

Norrod's Ch. Iron Spike R.O.M.!!
he was only bred to 6 females in his life!!!!!

What makes a great pitdog?
A dog which will scratch on a down or dead dog!
A dog that was cannibalistic and would lay there and try to eat the other dog!!

I've seen only two dogs in my life like that.
Gr.Ch. Art and Gr.Ch. Koko.

I seen a lot of shows and I can tell there were very few. I notice "Tab Dogs" post about Tornado. I must have seen you there because I saw almost all of hers. In fact I saw her father many times. I seen the schooling of Ch. Iron Bear when he was turning up Ch. Butch before Butch became champion.
BTW did you know back through Dl. Gr Ch. Tornado, Ch. Butch, Ch. Saloon and Ch. Tommy was all from Red Devil/Eli cross?

Bottom line, if they weren't a finisher, they weren't worth talking about.
Very few of the great ones were so dominate they would eat a dog!

Yes and No. She just ended up in the right hands with a lot of money and it didn't hurt the location. This give way to access to areas which the breeder and first shower didn't have access too. Have I seen better? Oh hell ya. In fact every time you saw her go, sometime during it, the signs she made, gave you thoughts of going with the other dog!
Finisher to the point I described, ,,,, No.

If you didn't stick your nose into my response to another poster then everyone might agree with you about being a gentleman.

Or is this excuse of knowing the truth about pitdogs and not being able to except it?

Yes, I knew it was a hardcore statement, but it is a truthful one.
If you can't handle it, maybe you need to go see a AST breeder.
Or change boards. This one is known for game stock.

Back to the original post "Who's the greatest?" In what terms? Stud dog? I responded to that as well in my post as far as R.O.M.
Or is it by throwing enough shit up against the wall and see what sticks?
That is the method which decides a great stud dog? Quanity?

When you see a respond like this, you know the candy ass wannabees and not the true people who has been around the 16x16.

"Who's the greatest?"
By which ones are the complete dog?
Then how many were recognized champions show and go.
I will let you know there was only one female and most know who she is.
Males? about 14. Let me show you one:

BTW My grandparents are from Germany. My mother ancestors were all German and my last name is Norwegian (German speaking country).

I sound like Peta? Hey greenhorn, do you have any idea who you are talking too?
BTW I have been to those places as well. Back in 1992. Save the stories of how great those shows are over there. That is why those dogs aren't being imported back to this country!

Since you are only a 36 to 37 year old how would you know the truth? I've own and bred a bloodline longer then you've been alive!
I've owned them all my life and third generation to own them.
My father's family was here since 1747.

Now if these dogs are fighting under modified Cajun rules, a dog sometime or another will have to scratch on a down or dead dog!
If you never saw it then you must have been watching a lot of curs quit or candy ass dogmen who pick up at the first sign of trouble!

Until you seen what I spoke of, then you have no understanding of the true American Gamedog! A finisher.....

But if I would breed(a dream I like) I would match a dog from time to time...to prove my line. And yes, perhaps I would be a candy ass dogmen because I would try to pick my buddy up before he was down to long....and if he would die in the box I would no other dog allow to scratch at him.Well I think thats not your ideal picture from a dogmen...but I think you have to life with some candy asses on this earth.....and remember not everyone is able to be a I R O N Mike...a proven finisher

You know me. What about Gr.Ch. Ny Ny and Nate's Al Capone 6xw? Ch. NY. NY. and Ch. Apple Jack? What about Gr.Ch. Art & Polar Bear? What about Gr. Ch. Buck and Gr. Ch. Sandman? What about Ch. Jeep & Ch. Homer? Ch. 410 and Ch. Radar, Ch. Flash & Ch. Doogie? None of the losers ever made it. Many of these I saw. Specially the first ones. I could go on and on but you get the meaning. You want to disagree fine but if you want life awareness, email me.

"the mark of a true dogman is not to fight them to the death only newbies or people who just dont give a shit about their dog fight them to the death, and you can ask any old timer such as myself that's just not how it is done the object of the match is to not kill your dog but get a detailed report of the dogs degree of gameness in a actual match,"

Such as yourself? LOL LOL Let me tell you something, don't post on this board and play like an old timer from Texas because I knew them all and you are not one of them! If you were at the reunion a year ago last labor day, you would have known who the real old timers were! This crap you are posting sounds like something read from a book. Many people took their dogs to the edge and that is why so many didn't make it even after their wins like Gr. Ch. Midnight and Ch. Rusty Nail. You come on here and talk you are an old timer, I am one and everyone knows it. Don't try and put words in my mouth and say dogs are always fought to the death to decided the winner. Save it greenhorn wannabee old timer BS. I've judge a lot of shows for champions and grand champions. I do know both the original Cajun and the modified Cajun rules.
I know every set of rules clear back to the Old English & UKC rules and the difference in them including Bert Clouse's rules. I've judge under all of them.

"so it sounds to me as you are the newbie not the person you are saying is,also sounds to me like you could give 2 shits if your dogs die or not and that's just sad, and it says something about your inteligence, and being a gentleman"

Let me tell you something wannbee old timer, you & I both know many people wanted to prove their line deep game and/or could produce dead game dogs. The Kitten was one of them.
You claim to be an old timer, BS! Or you would know, never step over the wall because you always risk the chance of one getting one killed. There is always the lucky shot factor.
As far as my intelligence I let the dogs prove themselves and my record has spoke of itself for many, many years. Personally I don't give a damn whether or not someone thinks I am a Gentle Man or not. I don't go around worrying about what others think. To me the word is excuse not to speak your mine in honest.
BTW don't judge my intelligence until you learn how to spell it!

Well, I must say, after reading all the posts from IM, post from Tabdogs, and Mia, I respectfully welcome the oportunity to learn from another dedicated Dogman. If tabs and Mia bellied-up, I too will belly-up to him. Here, rub my belly. LOL.

I am glad Iron Mike has joined this forum. Please educate those that seek you as they will be the ones that will uplift your name for decades to come.

"see mike i honestly dont know if you are what you say you are see i guarantee you i have seen more matches than you have ever seen but of course i seen them all before the act of 1975,".

So Have I. Texas Pit Dogs. I Must assume you are from Texas. I lived in Texas and went to Texas City High School. We might have known the same people, Chicken Sam, Maurice, Bobby the Millmaker, Robert & Ch. Toro, Raymond & Shannon. etc. BTW I doubt you have. In fact I know you haven't because I've been alive for over 50 years and I knew everyone in Texas and none has been doing dogs over 50 years including you.
