Just received this today -- what do you think?
CROSS POST THIS TO THE WORLD!!!!
EBAY WANTS TO AUCTION OFF ANIMALS AND THEY ARE TRYING TO MAKE IT OK BY SAYING THEY WILL HAVE A SHELTER/RESCUE SECTION. STOP THIS INSANITY BEFORE IT GETS STARTED. SEND THIS TO EVERY ANIMAL LOVER YOU KNOW.
PERMISSION TO CROSS POST FAR AND WIDE GRANTED

EBay is taking feedback on wether or not they should allow animals to be auctioned off. please start a letter writing campaign , post feedback or whatever you can to tell them how you feel. auctioning off live animals is wrong and just
another venue for the puppy millers....

"auctioning off live animals is wrong..."
arent there animal auctions in just about every state fair across the country?
should we shut down pet stores? how about that PAWS legislation, are we for that way of thinking too?
LMAO.

the only problem I see, which is a big one to me is, the person that has the most money gets the cat or dog. you can't screen this people.

2)free pets ( often used as bait, fighters, food, research etc )
ROFL
I say they should go for it! As long as they do it properly and don't make it an auction auction. Just like a listing.

Man I feel the same way sometimes.
It will never happen anyway, so who cares.
i dont think they should sell. if someone would want to post adoptions up for their agency thats one thing but selling animals is another.
Some of the people on here try to seperate all the issues these animals have and act like they are not interlaced. being a dogger and some of the animal rights issues that we deal with are connected.
Sorry but the peas touch your carrots or everything cant be black and white guys.

This is a mixed bag. It is what makes the forum go round, some are more sensitive then others.
ifn you can auction a person on ebay why not an animal?

Mine too.
BYBs + no screening process = nightmare, esp. in the case of the APBT.

that is already the situation. you guys make it seem like e bay auctioning animals will somehow create more BYB and problems. i think a lot of responsible people that buy and sell will utilize service, others will do what they do, regardless of e bay.
all i see is animal rights activists cheering when e bay backs off ,which is another victory and more steam for thier movement, e bay losing what should be a fair share of the market for animals( this is america isnt it?), and BYB still being there even tho e bay backed out which doesnt make sense.
another thing to think about, most BYB i have known are terrible businessmen and liars that wouldnt last through their first sale due to misconduct or bad feedback. you would also have avenues to pursue individuals that rip you off have you didnt have before through e bays fraud dept. i dont understand the mentality of saying there are a couple things that might go bad so forget the whole thing. it is rediculous.

I see your points. Perhaps I'm jaded and not seeing the big picture. I admit I know nothing about the business side of selling. What I do know is that I spend a lot of time researching, educating, and (trying) to fight BSL, and I cringe every day when there's another attack in the news and then more talks of bans, etc. etc. I just don't want the situation to get worse, that's all (meaning APBTs in the hands of irresponsible people).
they wont sell tobacco but they will sell live animals?

thank you for your efforts bro, it is appreciated by myself and many others.
there are so many different ways to look at things, sometimes it is hard to know which way to go about solving the situation.

I am a seller on Ebay.I know as of right now its illegal to sell animals on ebay.I think maybe this was started by someone who wants to protest the rules. You know there is always one in the bunch.I dont think its a good idea either.I will let ebay know myself and not go through their forums to let them know.
