i HAVE A FRIEND THAT HAS A FEMAL THAT IS 23 MONTHS OLD AND HAS STILL NOT CAME INTO HEAT, IS THIS NORMAL I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT

a bitch usally has their first heat at the age of 6 to 18 months.usally having one roughly every 6 months after that. i have never heard of one being tha late but i guess anything is possible.

i just looked in my complete gamedog book. wsk said they had a bitch that was over 2 years old when she had her first heat so maybe you just have a late bloomer.

It is unusual for that to happen but not un likely. It has happened to me on more than 1 occasion.

I had this outstanding bitch a couple of years ago that would never come into heat at least she hadn't by the time she was two. Vet gave me some pills to induce heat. Pills worked but she wouldn't take. Damn shame too........would have been really good brood stock! Unfortunately, she was killed a short time later so never had the chance to try again. Hope things work out for your friend.

Those tight Redboy dogs will sometimes give you hell about going into heat.LOL
