Bullyson and his son Vol. 1 and 2, Franks 3 books, especially the first one.

I wonder why the older dogmen just don't reprint these books? They could use a print on demand service like T.L. Willams is doing for the Courage and Remasters of history books. American Pit Bull Terrier Collector Edition Books (http://www.apbtbooks.com/collector.html)

This goes for the rest of the rarer dog books with limited numbers. They could make a few extra dollars and save us fanciers who were late to the game hundreds of dollars paying these inflated book prices.

if they were reprinted then the books would loose their value. It comes down to how bad you want the book. I took the bull by the horns and dropped a few c notes on books. some turned out worth the money others didnt. it's just like buying a pup, car , house, it's all in what youre willing to pay.

A lot of those books are interesting, but The Complete Gamedog,is in my opinion, by far the best. It is still relatively cheap, or it was the last time I went to an ADBA show. Rocca's book is good, and Bob Stevens book is interesting because he wrote it at a time that he was just learning about the dogs. I've seen the Hall books but haven't read them. The Dawnrest book has some good pictures and pedigrees and the Crenshaw book has some interesting parts too. Any of the books by Mullins are okay too, he is a good story teller.

Actually, most of the people who wrote those books are good story tellers, but their writing skills are not as good. If they would have someone proof read for them, and correct some of their grammar the books would be much easier to read.

Didn't even think about that. Yeah that would suck for everyone that dropped big money on some of these books.

The people who wrote the books made their money. So if someone made copies of their book an want to sell them I see no problem. People sell and buy books they want for their own reason. If I could buy a reprint or a copy of any book I want I would. All I'm going to do is read it an put it up. The only people that woud get upset are the one's who spent a arm and a leg for the same book. I'm not a collector, I just like to read about the dogs. An I'm sure others would also buy them.

No different if someone is selling pups from their liter for $1000..00 each. An you get 1 for $500.00. Would you say thanks but here's a $1,000.00 since that's what others paid.

I agree with you,and some collector's will want the original even if a cheap re-print is available.I don't even care about owning a physical copy,I'd pay for a pdf.
