If you have not signed up at the site and volunteered to help,you may want to.
This is a new group and we are starting off with a small Fun Show to get organized and practice.
Those willing to help with a family oriented group dedicated to presenting a positive image of our Breed and it's owners,are asked to go to the site and sign up.There you will have an inside track on details as the are worked out.
Those of you who aren't will get an opportunity to see the virtual flier when it comes out the second week of Oct.

If your dog is not registered or is spayed or neutered it does not matter, you can show at a fun show, just not a sanctioned one.

The site of the October 2nd Fun Show is City of Springfield's Forest Park. [See site forum]
The first Conformation Class,pup, starts at 9:30 am,sharp,no waiting for slowpokes,yet you can register and pay for classes up to call to holding ring ,none after that.
$15.00 fee for Conformation Classes.
$10.00 one time fee for Handlers Number/registration.
Handlers meeting @ 9:00 am.
Fun Classes[see Fun forum] will start at end of first set of Conformation Classes.You can grab a bite to eat [food on site or bring a bag lunch].
And the second set of Conformation Classes starts as soon as Fun Classes end.
Be prepared to move right along,as the pace will be quick.
We use all ADBA Rules ,so be aware of the 4 foot lead,no metal collars or choke collars.
Use the Golden Rule[see Joanie's article in last Gazette].
No need for pedigree registration at Fun Shows.
No Alcohol,Drugs,or pup sales.
No Human Aggressive Dogs.
We will look over Jr Handlers dog if it is over 9 months of age.Get them pre- approved as you register for class.
Remember that the Show site is past the Basket Ball Court.
Ask for them if you have to ask for directions,NOT " A DOG SHOW" as the help at the gate does NOT HAVE THAT INFO

Show was decent for what it was. Some very good dogmen showed up, with advertising the next show could be something.

Unfortunately had to leave some troublemakers home, the boy I did bring otc got robbed though. Shouldve taken first lol

I had a great time. For a fun show in the rain, it was a great success. There were no problems whatsoever and it ran pretty smoothly. Next time will be much better for sure and then better and better.

I didnt agree with the way the judge was picking em but sometimes you lose.

A lot of people missed out on a great time. Id advise not to miss the next one!

It was small, but I had fun chattin with people. I brought a 9 month old but I didnt show him, I'm actually surprised at the dogs that were there. Although, not many dogs, their were some very popular working dogs that were shown.

fun shows tend to be small. i thought with the rain we did great. the next one will be one to remember for sure. we are going to start putting it together soon. purepit i had the red/white colby male and brindle half colby bitch. it will be a great thing if we can host a sanctioned show next season.
