Good African made movie centreing around a Staffy named Jock. A PG rated kids movie but still a good watch for fans of the breed.

There's a remake too that was done in 1995, so watch out that you're getting the right one.

LOL, but that would be too easy. I think the plot should be- he met a girlfriend and they had a load of pups. The RSPCA came and killed both parents since they where deemed to be pit bull type. But the pups where spared since they where not deemed as pit bull types. The RSPCA replaced them to all kinds of idiots. Later when they where older RSCPA came and collected them again, since they got tipped off that where pit bull type dogs running about.

The real Jock of the Bushveld lived in the 1880s. The dog you´re referring to was born in 1910.

yep , thats the one, the REAL referred to the dog being a known bulldog cross terrier........the dog of the STORY......is errmmmm......a runt, out of a socalled bull terrier, covered by a PEDIGREED bull terrier...in the 1880s.........NEVER A STAFFORD.......

Another great Bull Terrier read and not so great movie is the Bar Sinister by Richard Harding Davis. Set in Montreal around 1900 this is one of the best dog stories I've read. The star of the show is a street dog named "Kid" the offspring of a white show Bull Terrier and a Black and Tan bitch (Staffy?). The story is told through the eyes of the dog. Some of the heroes on this site may be a bit too hard for this semi-fictional story, but for the rest of us dog lovers it's up there with "Call Of The Wild".
