Hotels ????
I like the Red Roof in Hickory, it's about 20 minutes away but it's clean, cheap and pet friendly.... Plus there is a great buffet 1/4 mile up the street and a Starbucks next door for that morning coffee........

now that i am posting cant remember the hotel, but it is not fancy the one we stayed at last year, right down the road, and there was a lil restaurant next door that had good breakfast, and dinner. this year we are camping. maybe somebody knows where i am talking about. but most hotels are about 15 mins away at least

You're not supposed to bring dogs that aren't showing but as long as they are crated it shouldn't be a problem.

i was asked to put on her, that James Rodgers who did the concessions in Ga, will be doing the concessions for this show. he will be serving breakfast, lunch both days, and a dinner menu on saturday.
I was told that there was still a detour on I-40. It made the trip 3 hours longer for us last year. Just thought I'd mention that in case some people may want to leave earlier. Everyone travel safe. See yall there! :D

Thanks for posting the detour info. We will be camping too. So if someone sees a pitiful looking 47 year old woman and her 12 year old daughter struggling to put up her tent,.......please.......help! I am pretty sure I can do it, but have never put it up by myself.

I just have to say thank you to the club for trying to keep me from missing my classes this weekend in the show. Going between the weight pull and the show ring was hard running up and down that hill, but they did their best to make sure I got there and I really appreciate it.
Also, to everyone at the pull, this was one of the best pulls we have been to in a long time. Great competition, sportmanship, everything, you really couldn't have asked for better. It was just a great weekend! Thank you!
