how much does it cost to make a fence?

i need to put up a fence around my house and i was wondering if anyone has any idea of a price range.. i might just do my front yard or the whole house, im not sure yet.

man,that depends on how large the area,what type of fencing and a lot other things.alot of fence companies in my area do free estimates but it would be cheaper to do it yourself.

Without trying to be a smartass, it would be better for you to contact someone who does this. The price will depend on type of fence, height, area to be fenced, and local prices of materials. I put up a 6' green treated privacy fence for a little under $3000, it wasy good size yard. I bought the materials when they were on sale and me and my step-father put it up.

damn just under 3k$ is not under my budget... i think ill try to get an estimate.. thanks for the replies.
