"Fast lane" was the top-level of dog-fighting competition, big matches, the best dogs, normally big purses on the line. This is opposed to the average dog-fighter who just had a few dogs, and stayed local and gametested within his own stock, never really setting up matches.....just testing for good dogs. Fast lane dogs needed it all, gameness, mouth, ability, smarts, wind....think of it like a UFC championship tournament. All the fighters have been tested, are extremely well-rounded, and proven worthy before entering the big show, and only the best of the best will ever compete at this level. This is opposed to "amateur fight night" at local boxing clubs.
